Antonia is an expressive artist and colourist who makes paintings, mixed media work, and drawings with a strong narrative thread.
Short bio
Colour, story, and lively painting
Antonia comes from Cookham, Berkshire in the UK, and has also lived in Canada, Switzerland, and Germany. She studied history and art history at university and then worked in museums in London, Oxford, and Ottawa, where she completed a 3 year diploma in fine art at Ottawa School of Art in 2012.
Her work often uses primary colours, influenced by the Fauve painters. Her work reflects her interest in history, people, humour, and narrative. She enjoys acrylic for its speed and re-workability but she also returns to collage and mixed media as a playful way to build imagined worlds.
