Antonia is an expressive artist and colourist who makes paintings, mixed media work, and drawings with a strong narrative thread.
Short bio
Antonia comes from Cookham, Berkshire in the UK, and has also lived in Canada, Switzerland, and Germany. She studied history and art history, worked in museums in London, Oxford, and Ottawa, and later trained in drawing, painting, printmaking, and sculpture at Ottawa School of Art, receiving a Diploma in Fine Art in 2012.
Her work often uses primary colours, with the Fauves in mind, and reflects a continued interest in history, people, humour, and narrative. She enjoys acrylic for its speed and liveliness, and returns to collage and mixed media as a playful way to build imagined worlds.
